Ohh.. the Beauty of Nature

Ohhh... the Beauty of Nature...

So, a few weeks ago I went to this nifty shopping place called H&M to buy my friend Beto a burgundy suit, because he just really wanted one and hey, burgundy is totally awesome! my original plan for going into that beautiful store should have been DO NOT BRING ANY MONEY IN THE STORE  OR ELSE YOU WILL BUY ALL CUTE THINGS IN SITE..... of course I thought nahhh... I'll be fine, my self control is perfect, no clothing can touch me! and that's when it was all over...

I found three very cute shirts and I was able to restrain myself from buying the rest of the store and left with my three purchases... one of these shirts is black with light brown stripes and a bow around the waist, so i thought i was looking pretty good when I decided to wear it for the first time yesterday with my dark skinny jeans! I hadn't worn this particular shirt yet because I was waiting for the right day to really make it pop--three longs weeks passed by before I felt I could put on the beautiful shirt that had never been worn before.

I went to work (I work at the BYU Bookstore and since this Wednesday was my last day, I wanted to look uber cute, anywho I work pretty much all over the Receiving department since I will soon be leaving the bookstore for a couple months... to be continued) and worked out on the dock all morning, cutting  boxes open, and writing on them... it is honestly the funnest job ever because I get to work with Mike! Mike is my boss and he is super funny, and brings me chocolate flavored gold fish, and he is always offering me wise advice, so i quite like him. Anyways work had a food day/party thing and it was sad saying goodbye to everybody, but also it was kind of nice to be done.... SO i decided to go to the temple to sit on the grass and absorb nature and admire the flowers, and trees, and the wind blowing through the air, when my mother called!

i do love that woman quite a lot, so i laid back to have a nice afternoon chat with my mother, about thirty minutes into our lovely conversation i glance up at the tree i am sitting under when all of the sudden, LOW AND BEHOLD, i feel something slimy hit my BRAND NEW SHIRT! i quickly looked down and saw a white mass of gooeyness on my shirt, i looked up again and couldn't even see the culprit! The dang bird had flown off, so I didn't have the chance to chase after him and demand an answer to my question of "Why did you poop on my brand new shirt from H&M that I wore to look all cute today, huh, huh, why did ya?!" Alas, I told my mom the horrible news and she had the gall to start laughing! Laughing I tell you! My own dear mother who raised me from an infant was laughing at her daughter's demise... it did not take me long to realize there would be no sympathy from her amid her gales of laughter, so I told her I would be right back. I marched up to the tree and figured leaves would be the easiest thing to wipe off the bird poop on my shirt. It took about twenty leaves and there was still a massive stain on my shirt, but I did the best I could with what nature had to offer me.

I then said goodbye to my mother and headed off to my hair appointment, where I assumed everybody and their dog could see the glowing, white stain that was in the middle of my black shirt. My hair appointment was at Aveda, where all the ladies dress super classy in black and their hair looks great and their nails and their faces and I was not at all prepared to enter into that classy lady hair place, but I put on a brave face and did my best to cover the stain with my purse. I am pretty sure every classy lady there stared at the stain on my shirt a lot and then made faces towards me while in their minds they thought, "Oh that poor girl, she walks around with stained shirts and oh i feel so bad for her, should i offer her a new shirt? No, no she doesn't want the pity to show on my face... I'll just keep staring at it and feeling ashamed for her." I am quite positive these were the thoughts going through every classy lady's mind..... anyways, my haircut got done and I did indeed feel like a new woman, kudos to CASEY! She did a fabulous job, so I left my hair appointment and thought I have fabulous hair and a not so fabulous shirt, and decided to still strut my stuff (strut is a very loose term here, i cannot strut to save my life and anybody who knows me will accept this as fact.)

i then decided that i would never sit outside among nature again because birds apparently hate me. also, the whole point of this blog is because i am leaving for a study abroad in Jerusalem in about five days! I want to share the adventures I will be having there and lots and lots of pictures will be posted; I just figured I would start the blogging process early! Please enjoy and come again :)

Hmm.. that's how he did it.
If only I had read the sign...

EXACTLY how i felt :( poor kid.
